    Sneezing 5 week old chicks

Problem more or less solved. I returned the chicks to the person I got them from. From everything I read, it was probably Infectious Bronchitis.. Now I have to watch the other chickens and sterilize everything. : ( I'm wondering how long I need to wait to get new chickens now??

    Sneezing 5 week old chicks

Thanks for your help, but I don't think that's it. We are way past our big pollen load. Due to our very warm and dry winter, everything went off very early. Again, the other chickens are not affected.

    Sneezing 5 week old chicks

It doesn't sound crazy, and If only one were sneezing, I'd consider that.. As they are also two different breeds, I wouldn't expect them both to be allergic. My other chickens haven't shown any allergies in the past.

    Sneezing 5 week old chicks

Two days ago I got two 5 week old chicks. Driving home, we heard what we thought was a sneeze. When I put them in the coop, they seemed active, with good appetites, but I noticed more sneezing, so I took them out of the coop and put them in a crate, covered with a towel w/ a heating pad on low...

They people I got her from say their flock was wormed in September. She's pretty weak and wobbly right now. Can't perch, but can walk around.

Help diagnosing and treating a sick chicken

Sort of.. More green and not formed. Less white. Her poop has generally been green.. It looks like the lay pellets would look if they got wet and de-formed... I'm wondering if she's just not digesting properly. I've put electrolytes in the water along with the sulfadimthoxine as per the...

Help diagnosing and treating a sick chicken

A couple weeks ago I bought a couple of 9 month old Dominiques to add to the 9 month Brahma and Wyandotte I already had. The next day, after watching them, I returned one of the birds as she had poop caked on her bottom and it concerned me. The remaining Dominique seemed more-or-less ok... They...

Something doesn't look right- 12 wk Orpington?

Thank-you! I thought Easter Egger might have been the answer... She's a delight, whatever she is.. Colored eggs would just be a bonus! Thanks for the expert opinions, they are much appreciated.

Something doesn't look right- 12 wk Orpington?

I'm two months into my chicken adventure now.. I bought four 4 wk old chicks the first week in May. One was supposed to be a Buff Orpington... but looking at pictures posted on this forum, I'm wondering if this one isn't something else, or a mix? I have not seen the fluffy cheek feathers on...
