still getting use to the feathered lifestyle and looking forward to years to come. the homestead is called coop to 16 beautiful barred rocks, 14 being ladies, the others being my big bad roo's. prized for their fierce protective traits but beloved for their sweet nature. my mamas are calm and for the most part relatively docile, being both kind and cool.no idea of the joy i would have when they arrived at that feed store. there is nothing like sneaking out before dawn with a hot cup of coffee and watching the sun come up while they begin to coo and crow. oh and i really enjoy that they really enjoy boxelder bugs. good lord yes, no more than four legs on the farm please
