I trim the crest on all of my polish. I am not sure how much I should trim because I want them to free range and be safe but have a cute crest- Shilo7

How many hens to one rooster for the Polish chickens?
I have read that in the Polish chicken breed that you should only have five or six hens per rooster is this correct? I know for other breeds of chickens it is 10/ 1.- Shilo7

I ended up with 3 roosters and one hen. I found it was easier to buy hens or pullets then buy chicks and then need to find homes for roosters. I now have 9 golden lace Polish hens, one white and black hen, and 5 Houdan pullets.- Shilo7

II have found two pullets for $35 each. They are 4 months old. The person wants $35 each for the pullets and I think this is expensive. I would like to know what is the appropriate price for 4-month-old Crevecoeur pullets in Texas- Shilo7

Polish breed gender
From what I understand on guessing gender photos 1 and 2 are female. Photos 3 and 4 are male. Does anyone know if the gender is right? Thank you- Shilo7
