    I got a couple of Buff Brahmas and 2 Barnvelders a few years ago. I also live in So Cal but farther away. They are healthy and super friendly.

    Hello aliris, I’m in the SGV. (SanGabriel Valley). I’ve had chickens for many years. I just love them. I do have a chicken math problem:eek: ! I have many different breeds. Couple of very sweet roosters. We are not too far from the west side! Have fun with your chooks!

    I am going to have to check this whole thread for recipes! My gals don’t care for corn! That is what is always leftover. I usually give wet mash in the morning and they love it.

    It worked for her. She lives in East L.A. There is a big coyote population in this whole area.

    I also read on Nextdoor that a neighbor bought and used wolf urine and that totally eradicated her coyote problem!

    Gosh, I bought chicks from him years ago! They were all beautiful and lived long lives . I still have a California White that lays occasionally.

    I have a rooster that is 11 weeks old. He is my baby! He hasn’t tried to crow yet. We are not allowed roosters but I’m not going to get rid of him, he is too precious to me. Sweetest bird I have ever had. Does yours crow a lot?
