I agree, it just seems hard to know what your getting even after many questions. I suppose it could be that way no matter where your getting them from.
I suppose so. Especially if who you are asking doesn't know the answers lol
I would say the problem is with the breeder not with craigslist. Bad breeders can be selling anywhere. Just gotta find someone thats got there heart in it as my granddad would say.

Set your temperature and add a little bit of water. If you have a small Styrofoam or plastic incubator there should be little lines in the bottom. Just fill 2 or 3 of them. If you put too much water it will drag your temperature way way down because of app the humidity so dont flood it. Test...
is it just me but I am pretty sure these are Texas A&M and a Golden Machurian aka Golden Italian. Meaning these are Coturnix Quail and NOT button quail
Sounds like you are raising them from babies to slaughter size. Male quail start getting aggressive once they mature and begin the breeding/laying season. You are slaughtering them before they ever get to this point.

Lack of Light is the issue. Quail do not naturally lay this time of year because the days are shorter. If you want them to start laying you can put a light on them to make sure they get 14-16 hours of light. However, it will still take 3-4 weeks for them to start laying. Natural my they will...
Jumbo Coturnix Quail. They reach butcher weight at approximately 8 weeks. Northern Bobwhites are another option. They grow slower and will take longer to reach butcher weight. Coturnix would probably be your best option since your trying to market them.
