Hello everyone,
I have a sweet and kind 3-month-old rooster named Prince Charming who is looking for a new home. He is gentle with his ladies and would make a great addition to any flock.
If you live in Ohio and are interested, please message me.
Thank you!
She is almost a year old. She wasn't eating or drinking earlier today. she started slowly eating now. she was standing alone in the corner, most of the day in the run or in our coop, but no egg. she is now out with the rest of my flock, walking around and eating. She’s still moving slower than...
Help! My Silkie has been acting weird all day. I think she may be egg-bound. I gave her a warm bath earlier today, which I thought helped when I found her in the coop a few minutes later. However, she has just been staying there for the past 2-3 hours without laying an egg. Her poop looks...
Hey! This is my first winter as a chicken owner. I noticed some pink spots on a few of my chickens' feet this morning. Could this be frostbite? I have attached a picture for reference.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I now have a coop inside of a greenhouse with pine shavings on the ground. I’m thinking about adding some straw when it gets cold here.

@NatJ I will have to find a way to close up the run area for the winter. It's been raining a lot here, so my chickens are in my garage now. It has windows. Worst case, can I keep them in the garage for the winter? It's an attached garage, so it's warmer in there.
Thank you @NatJ for your reply. It's good to know I have options. Would it be okay to leave it just grass for the winter months? I'm just asking because I have silkies and they're sensitive to cold weather.
