    Hen vomiting

Sadly she just passed away in front of me a few hours ago. I have no idea what went wrong as she was doing well yesterday and she woke up very weak this morning. It's the third chicken off my flock that passes away this year and im very worried. Out of my 7 now im left with just 4. Hopefully...

    Hen vomiting

New Update: She's doing better in terms of having energy to move around. One thing I think might help in the diagnosis is that when I checked her crop it was really full until she burped and it went down in size considerably. I also noticed a bit of residue in her tongue of what seems to...

    Hen vomiting

Update: She keeps vomiting even though ive tried taking as much precautions as possible. Right now she bent down to grab some food and a lot of liquid literally shot out of her beak and into the ground. She also seems have mobility issues in her right leg and Ive had to take her into a...

    Hen vomiting

It's definitely emptying constantly and completely. No, she doesn't have poultry grit. Ill have to check if my local stores have that although id greatly doubt it as ive had problems finding electrolytes and probiotics before. Ive checked the article a few times now and none of the issues...

    Hen vomiting

It's completely empty once she wakes up. She is eating more now but the situation is the same.

    Hen vomiting

Thanks for your reply either way! Its appreciated. Its partly empty, there seems to always be a little drop of liquid in her crop but its not something excessive. Its soft to the touch for sure. I dont think theres a better way to describe how it feels other than when a chicken drinks a...

    Hen vomiting

Im not entirely sure if its sour crop. It did smell like it at first but the liquid is completely odorless once it comes out so im not sure if I can give that diagnosis. Ill be checking the reference post about it again just to make sure im not missing anything. No, she has never been dewormed.

    Hen vomiting

For the past month my hen has been acting weird. She is a 5-6 year old silkie hen. I had posted about her a while ago as her poop was sticking to her vent and it was odd. Now I've noticed she has been expelling a clear sticky liquid any time she lowers her head slightly or I go to pick her up...

    Sour Crop

Sadly she passed away on Tuesday morning. She was recovering but stopped eating and drinking the day before and passed away in her sleep. To answer the question, she was being given 2% Miconazole cream. I could not find any vitamins but she was being given a bit of electrolytes in her water...

    Sour Crop

Yesterday I was checking up on her after as I had left her with a caretaker since I was out for work and while I was checking she pooped. I had never seen any chicken poop that looked like that. It was extremely liquid and runny, and seemed to have sand? It smelled awful too. Here's a picture.

    Sour Crop

Yes, her poop is still extremely liquid, more now than before. But she seems to be digesting her food. She's still very weak but she seems to have more energy than before.

    Sour Crop

I dont know if shes doing better or worse. Im giving her some electrolytes in her water. Her crop is emptying now, which is very good. She had a lot of contents in her crop and although its still half way full, it doesn’t feel as bloated as yesterday. Shes very very weak. Shes not as alert...

    Sour Crop

The situation is not looking good. Shes extremely thin and light as of right now. Her rapid decline is making me wonder when the illness actually started. Seems as if I caught it too late Im hoping for the best.

    Sour Crop

Thats what her poop is looking like. She now has free access to some food and I gave some electrolytes in her water. Ill review both articles
