Hi! I’ve noticed recently that one of my quails occasionally shakes his head and move backwards really fast. He is 1 year and 9 months old. It seems like he’s having neurological issues, but I wanted to make sure before I tried anything. Any ideas what might be happening? I have a video in case...
Hi! I noticed that my quail recently got a big lump on the bottom of her foot, with some yellow-ish spots on it. When I touched it I felt a hard lump in the skin. I thought it was bumble foot so I soaked her feet in warm water mixed with Epson salt. I am also going to put some antibiotics on it...
I'll cut back on the watermelon rinds. I didn't know that aspirin was poisonous to birds. I saw online that quails could be given a small amount, and I've given them to my quails before, but I’ll stop doing that since they’re poisonous. I'll keep watching her and give her the NutriDrench...
I've been feeding her game bird feed, also watermelon rinds. I also gave her a bit of aspirin. She had a fever last night, so I gave a fourth of a tablet. She's about 8 months old. She was outside a couple weeks ago, but we gave her plenty of cover, and its been too hot for her to go out these...
I think so, but I’m not really sure. There was a lot of pus in her eye for the past few months, but there hasn’t been any for a days now. Her eye isn’t swollen anymore, and the bump on her eye is going away.
Hi, my quail has been sick for a while and losing a lot of weight. Her poop is watery. Today, her head kept on point up, and she keeps on rolling when someone’s not holding her. Does anyone know what’s causing this? Here’s a video of what’s happening. Thank you!
I’ve been putting original neosporin on her eye. I’ll start giving her vitamins as soon as I get them.
She can stand. She seems to be walking fine, she’s been walking backwards to poop.
I’ve removed all the pus that I’ve seen throughout the day, but her eye is still very swollen. Is this because there’s pus that I’m not getting, or because of another reason?
Here are some pictures of her eye.
