    Thank you for the great details!! My run top is fenced off just like the sides, but I plan on closing in the coop areas which is one of the pens at each end and leaving the runs, which is in between, just covered with heavy duty tarp like you have, taking it off when we have the sever storms...

    Ref the poop situation; I do a deep litter method with pine shavings at the moment. I put down cinnamon and First Saturday lime every time I add a layer, works great for smell and breaking down the material. I will clean out the coops once a month.
