I have several pics of one of my two roosters, Jerry. He doesn't like to have his pic taken so some aren't very good. I was wondering what people think of using him for breeding. (my other Roo, Clower, has light brown/yellowish eyes so I don't want to use him for breeding.) excuse the ORANGE...
I bought an Amish built coup that had nest boxes and a small roosting area for all my chickens for the winter, (it was easier to insulate and clean than my 2 larger houses and my birds don't need all the extra space during the cold winter nights) anyhow..... the roosting area is only about 10"...
My flock had some egg eaters. One day I was out in the pen with them and saw through the window a fight break out over a freshly laid egg. I had 13 hens that I had only had for a couple of weeks, so the few eggs I had gotten I had assumed was just from the stress from moving and getting...
It also depends on the auction, some do ask for the money as soon as you bid. the local farmers auction near where I live collects the money when you win, but another farmers auction I went to in MD waited until the bidder sheet came in to collect. I suggest watching the first few winners and...

iv ordered some dvds for my son and nephew from amazon, Liberty kids, school house rock and magic school bus. I remember all of them from when I was younger and thought they would be a good way for they to get a bit of educational information while they get entertained at night while I cook...
