I will just keep watching closely! I wouldn’t mind a rooster but I know my neighbors would lol hopefully they both are female. They’re so pretty and I don’t have any others that look like them!
That makes complete sense. I’ve purchased from this feed store before but they were less than a month...
Just re-read this. They have similar faces to my cream legbars so I bet that’s one of the breeds. I don’t know much about barred rocks or Dominques though.
So I went back and got another of the same and notice a difference in the comb and the barring. This will probably help cause they definitely look different. When I asked the guy at the store if they were 2 months he said yes but he thinks maybe a little older. Also, the beak on the first...
I don’t know how to tell either 😫 I’m ready to go back to the feed store though and look at the rest to see if there’s a smaller comb or different barring!

Olive Egger would be great! I know I was looking at the comb too 😫 The feed store said they were all pullets but I know mistakes can happen. Such a beautiful bird I hope it’s a female.
I have 2, 11 week old chicks for sale. They were sold to me as hatchery’s choice but as they’ve grown, I really think they are Rainbows from Hoovers. Very good brown layers. They are already so big and according to Hoover’s website, they get to 7-8lbs. Definitely a dual purpose bird. My run just...
I got a couple more babies to add to our flock. One is identical to my 2 cream legbars so I know what she is. But this one is clearly a mix. Was hoping a color layer but I don’t even know what she (hopefully “she” cause she was sold as a pullet lol) is mixed with. Any ideas? The feed store said...
It’s good to hear your EE do well in the heat. I’ve almost completed my order with Ideal a couple times today for EEs and some OEs but I keep coming back to the “Not Especially” for heat tolerant with the EEs. Since we are in southern AZ, I worry about getting chickens that may truly suffer in...
