    Yes the legs are greenish. Thank you all for your help I see the muffs now. I found where it came from I think but haven't been able to talk to them yet.

    A neighbor brought over a chick that she rescued from a cat. It is now mine I am hoping someone can tell me what it is.

    Thank you I will do that. I just saw that forum I have been up most of the night, insomnia and keeping an eye on the bard rock just in case and I haven't slept for 20 + hours. Makes me forget forum etiquette of looking around completely.

    For several years I have enjoyed our friends/ neighbors chickens but never thought to have my own. I was never a big egg eater and had a cat with a very strong prey instinct as well as a hyper dog. Sadly last winter we lost our cat and I have felt my "family" was incomplete with just my husband...
