    I agree with the double yolks never hatching. I eat my jumbo eggs all of the time and never found a double yolk. So in this instance that wasn't the problem. I am done with incubating those. They will be set aside for eating purposes.

    I just hatched 63 of 67 eggs and kept my GQF at 40 percent the entire time. The 4 that didn't hatch were all in Jumbo eggs. My guess is that the egg was too big for them to get situated to pip. Last year was my first year with my GQF and did multiple hatches at 40% and averaged a little...

    Excuse my dumbness. I am trying to figure out autosexing/sex links. If I breed this rooster to these barred hens would the male peeps have the dot on their heads? Any guesses on breed of rooster?

    Black body with a green shein to it. Neck feathers are grey/silver.

    What kind of rooster?

    Any thoughts on what kind of roosters this is. The hens that were hatched from the eggs are all white with black tips on their tail feathers and some black around their necks and a black spot here and there.

    Does anyone clean or wash eggs before incubating? If so, do you clean with just water?
