Tumbleweed Farm, I agree w/ Fred as well as the previous poster. Only 8 hens and 3 males is just not going to work. Even if they were same age, raised together, etc. & the pecking order was well established-there would still probably be serious bickering. For 8 hens, you should have 1 or MAYBE 2...- Skfla

Does anyone know a rock breeder (or perhaps a few?) that actually breeds black rocks? The few I've found that have black rocks at all are typically just left overs from working w/ blues. And to be honest, they can't get rid of the blacks fast enough... I'm interested in someone who has had and...- Skfla

I'm looking to add white & Columbian rocks to our collection. Does anyone have knowledge of or access to a list of quality breeders? I will travel some for quality stock & can pick up in Fl, GA & SC (maybe NC). Otherwise they would have to be willing to ship. I imagine the info is probably here...- Skfla

At what temperature should I start shutting their window at night?
Messipaw I'm curious how many chickens you have in your coop (if you only have 1 roost I'm thinking 5-6 tops?). That can make a big difference.
