Any thoughts on rescues in Indiana or people that have too many? Not that you can have too many, but I am down to one hen and one rooster. Both are very friendly, but want to add a few more hens. TIA!!!
Unexpectedly my indoor/outdoor cat sits and protects my 2 hens and rooster.
I’ve even started noticing that my rooster (my chickens are free range) will follow her and seems like they feel safe to forage around her. PS. This is my first flock.
I’m so happy. 😊
Thank you! I certainly am open to all suggestions! I have 3 chicks and will definitely add more wiring and a fence. 🐥
I’d love to add on and have more! 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓
Thank you! I live in Indiana. Currently temps have been 75-80 through the day and 65 in the evening.
I have 3 chickens. 2 reds and wondering if the third is going to be a rooster! 😅
I do plan on letting them free range and fencing it in.
Thank you again!
I have 4.5 week old fully feathered chicks. I’m a new chick mom and because it’s been so warm here in Indiana, I moved them to the coop which they seem to love. I bought a prefab coop from tractor supply and i would love suggestions on improving it.
I’ve secured wire all around the bottom so...
Yes! Thank you! This pic is before I stapled the wire at the base about 24 inches all around so they couldn’t dig under. That window is plexiglass. I should cover that with wire too? Sorry if that’s a dumb question. 🐥 oh I see what you’re saying wrap more wire around the base. Ok, thank you!
