Yesterday I was by the pond & I heard a snap sound like a stick breaking, then my Sebastopol goose started screeching. It looks like her wing broke, it's dragging on the ground. Thanks you'all! The foot looks like your picture. I cut on it some this am, with exacto knife. There wasnt really anything in it. Did triple a/b ointment & soaks w/ epsom salts. I had some Penicillin injectable (from my sheep) & gave her a little shot in the thigh. Will the penicillin help cure... -
My runner has bumblefoot, please help
I'm pretty sure my runner has bumblefoot. Her leg & foot is very warm, not cool like other leg, she has trouble using it & I see a big callous thing on the bottom. Worried about the cold
Thanks for all the comments. My ducks survived last night (9 degrees/windchill -5) & seem none the worse for wear. The pond is solidly frozen over this AM, chipped out a spot for them to drink & it froze right back. Suppose to be just as cold tonight too. Brrrr,we're not used to these temps... -
