We just hatched 10 muscovy eggs in our incubator recently. The mom stopped laying on them half way through and we had to take over. The first 8 came within 3 days of each other. There were 2 really small eggs that came a whole week later. Both of these little ones are tiny even now 2 weeks...
I got this little one at Tractor Supply about 4 weeks ago. It was in a tub labeled blue Plymouth rock pullets. From pics I have seen online the blue rocks look more grey in color. Is it still possible that she is a blue rock just darker?
I have a Muscovy that is about a week from hatching her eggs and she came out last night for her daily feeding and didn't go back to her nest. The nest is under my porch and humidity has been over 90% the last few days. Will these eggs still hatch without her?
He has 4 grown hens right now but we have 6 pullets that are around 4 months old so he will have more choices in a few months. Thanks for the idea about the outdoor fabric. I'll have to give it a try.
I have an Orpington who my roo just loves. Her poirot back looks awful even though he really is gentle with her. Hence saddles have worked for her but now here in North Florida it is too hot and humid to keep it on her. Any suggestions on what else I can put on her to help? Anything to help...
