    I used the same boxes when I had two egg eaters. They worked well until they figured out how to stick their heads thru the opening the eggs roll thru. They ate the eggs in the tray. I ended up taking the two hens to auction.

    I agree! Use the permethrin. It works and you can still eat the eggs. Sevin is VERY toxic. Do not use it on your birds. Once a bird is treated with Sevin it's eggs are no longer fit for consumption for the life of the bird.
