    I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve never had that happen so I paniced a little thinking that what ever it was could pass to my other hens or maybe something I could prevent from losing more. But with everyone’s wonderful responses I feel at ease now.

    Ya I knew it wasn’t my medicated feed or scratch I’ve had chickens my whole life but I’ve never had one drop dead except for my broiler chickens. Thank you for all your advice. It’s very helpful.

    They eat sprout medicated feed, corn and scratch and free range but don’t come out of the barn much.

    She is with 5 other hens her age and some older hens. She was smaller than the other 16 week old hens.
