    Hello! Family brought us some eggs to try hatching for them. Black Star, and we are hoping to get a few more backyard mix of our own. Would love some new breeds, maybe next year we will order some.

    Great, thanks for the testing info, I was just going to look for that. I have been removing chicks, eggs and funk as soon as the chicks quit sticking(and put them in the "nursery" until they are moving around pretty good. I think it's the water that stinks from the yellow ooze that came out...

    It's halfway into day 22 and the bator is starting to stink. 9 hatched five more are pipped and 15 not yet showing signs.     Two of my chicks have pipped holes and are not zipping. I noticed the first one at 1 am. It didn't progress until 4. Now at another stand still. When should I assist? The humidity is in the high 60's so the inner she'll seems to not be shrink wrapping.
