Thankyou, our older hen is about 4 and they have the full run of our large garden so only use the coop at night. I have just started separate feeding stations so hope things will settle down.
When one of our hens died we decided not to replace her, our remaining hen seemed quite happy at first but then seemed so lonely. We managed to get a young hen and after the initial bit of pecking the old hen really became a “mother”. She let the little one eat first watched over her etc, now...
