I have rhode islands that look like cockerels at 4 months because of the crowning and the wobbly thing under neck, but my adult rhode islands thats laying eggs looks like a rooster too but shes laying eggs, how can i determine what their sexes are
I dont know what to say because my older laying hen has crowing and the big wadling thing and its red, but she has been my first egg layer in my flock.. So its just a matter of waiting right? I know i have two roosters for sure, but the others looked like hens to me, but yesterday i saw one hen...
My rhode islands are almost 4 months old, they all have pointy tail feathers but their comb and waddle look pink... They are smaller in size from the actual rooster.. I dont know how else to tell if they are hens or roosters
I have a broody hen that's been broody for a month... I guess the eggs she had all are bad, no eggs have been successful yet, I'm wondering should I throw those eggs and put new eggs under her so she can become a mom
Hi I'm stuck, don't know what to do, my hen has been broody for a month now but none of the eggs seem to be good, no babies yet... should I wait longer or throw those eggs away and put newer eggs under her... how long does a broody hen usually stay broody after not having any babies?
