For those who wonder when the spots start to show....I know they are all different but here is a little rooster of mine... The pic on the roost is from 4/22 and the other one on floor is just a day or so ago, every day he changes!

Picture of a chick I raised that thinks she is D'Uccle. She is really a Silkie Satin but she is the only one this color, the rest are Blue or Black and somehow she knows she fits in better as a D'Uccle. Thanks for looking.

I don't know if it is good or bad, but I give Dandelions and grass that I pull by hand. But basically they should have good quality feed, high protein, chick starter and nothing else . Make sure they have baby grit if you start other foods. [Unless they are on the ground]

Yes the rooster is a Silkie, the hens are what they are calling Satins, everything about them Silkie except the barbless feathers. All the Silkie Chocolate charts are showing Sex Linked birds and that just does not fit what I am getting. I'll try for pics, mainly if i can determine if this...

I think she means crested. We don't use "tophat" in Silkies, thats usually polish...
