I have got her tongue back in her mouth and her puncture wound under her mouth Is closed and scabbed over currently. I need to just get rid of her infection, I bought some bedatine, how do I use it on the infection because it’s in her mouth? Do I water it down and put it one there with a q-tip...
Hey guys! I know it’s been awhile I have t had access to wifi to let you guys know what was going on. My hen dodo, as most of you know had her tongue sticking out from the skin under her beak.
I don’t have any vets around, but after using honey and giving her some apple cider vinegar water and...
Yeah it really is my only options, I tried to get some fish antibiotics today but they won’t even sell those because of people using them. I will see if I can purchase them online. :( thank you
This is her poop, very green and small. She hasn’t become lethargic at all and desperately tries to drink and eat. I’ve separated her from the flock because she now has an infection on the inside of her mouth where the tongue is going through
Hey! So I’ve got some syringes to food and water here, I will put some molasses in her water and get some of that chicken water mix to put in as well. Her tongue is completely dried and now it’s infected but no one will sell me antibiotics or medicine for chickens. It won’t move at all, I’ve...
Thank you I’m trying to figure out what I can do! She is only about 1 year and 2 months. I thought she was a rooster when she started growing up but then she started laying eggs haha
She is acting normal but her tongue is now infected and her mouth is pale pink and there is a yellow pus spot where her tongue is poked through inside her mouth. I’ve tried to get any vet to take a look atleast but no one will do anything. I’ve tried to get antibiotics and some medicine to put...
We don’t have any vets around here' that take chickens which is upsetting, we also don’t have any veterinary schools. although we do have a humane society shelter for any animals so I will call them tomorrow and see what they say! thank you!!
Yeah hopefully! The only problem is no vets will even take a look at her. I tried to see what I could do at home but its healing so it’s hard to push her tongue back through the puncture :(
She can drink small amounts, water will drip from her mouth when she does though, she can eat single pieces of grain here and there but it takes awhile for her to get it down. Thank you
