My rooster started doing this wierd thing, it’s like his legs don’t work and he starts flopping around, but when I go to get him he jumps up and takes off running like it ain’t no thing. He’s getting worse from once a week to 2/3 times a day. I took him to my local vet and they said it looked...
My Rooster has a problem!!
My vet says he has arthritis and I’ve been giving him the medication but it doesn’t seem too help, could it be something else? He has trouble standing up sometimes… what do you think? Could it be mites?
Nothing standing out it's just really pink(almost red) from his stomach to the top of his legs, all places where the nits were. I'm assuming that's what it's from. Again I only got about 80% of the nits, took almost 30 minutes and decided to give him a break since it cost him like 10 feathers.
I think it’s cause the spurs were forcing him to sleep on the floor giving the lice opportunity to move right on him, I cleaned out the coup and sprayed it down and give them all a DE bath asap just for good measure I'm also gonna spray the coup with permethin to make sure all bugs are dead and...
Okay, I’m really hoping he doesn’t have a circus of things going on, it does seem like almost all these issues can be explained by his spurs being to long and injuring him( I never knew you had to care for the spurs too) one was almost 3” long and they were both curved up towards his body. After...
Lol, sorry that was supposed to say Vasoline! No bumble feet but his spurs are huge! About 2 1/2” maybe 3, I didn’t know they should be kept at a certain length.
I noticed my rooster starting to walk funny a week ago. Took me a day and a half to nab him and check him out, he was absolutely infested with with lice nits!! At first I thought he had just been sitting in his poop till I tried washing it off and “the poop” wouldn’t wash of and was rock hard. I...
I hope so, I thought my rooster was pooping on himself till he started walking funny. Now he's infested, gave him DE for 2 days an herbal soak of garlic mainly and peppermint, rosemary, lavender, & eucalyptus but those nits are still there, I'm going to try olive oil or cornola oil and see.
