    Mr. Ellsworth hatched 10/30 from a batch of silkie eggs from the white pen. I’m guessing that means the parents are white silkies. All of his siblings are white silkie chicks. What color will Mr. Ellsworth be?

    Yes! We found someone local who was selling fresh hatching eggs. She takes really good care of her flock. The quality of the eggs really make a big difference with hatch rates I think.

    Hatch is finished! Of the 18 that made it to lockdown, 16 hatched. The two that didn’t make it: 1 was in position but died before pipping and the other one was malpositioned. here are some more fluffy pics
