    Oh wow I knew they had black skin but presumed the red was normal in in places. This is so interesting. They are a funny little breed I’m learning so much!

    Also from the first pic do you think the black one could be a male too? No big comb and small like the white but I’m worried about the tail?

    No worries thanks so much I think I knew it in my heart 🥲 if we get silkies in the future we’ll look for older ones - I’ve seen a few more breeders (not as local to us though) that sell them closer to 7 months which gives a better indicator of age we are new to the silkie world 😆 the other two...

    Thanks deffo no chance it could be female? No crowing but we are taking it back on Friday. I did think to myself as a breeder I would think it could be a male potentially but assumed they’d have the experience no to give me a male 😆

    Picked up three silkies this week they are around 17-20 weeks. Noticed the blue one is slightly larger and looks different although they have less beard too. The comb and wattles are concerning me. Also seems the most confident and least affectionate of the bunch. We aren’t first time chicken...
