    Tiny white flecks in poop?

Birds are 2 1/2 years old, molted earlier this year but are fully feathered now. But no movement at all, which wouldn't be the case if they are tapeworm, no?

    Tiny white flecks in poop?

This photo is literally 3" from the poop, lol. My camera just can't focus any closer! They are NOT moving, I really stared a while and nothing. They are all very uniform shape and size too, which makes me wonder if they weren't some tiny seed or fly larvae ON the poop? I did find a few regular...

    Tiny white flecks in poop?

No movement. I looked REALLY close, and nothing moved at all. Someone else said it looks like they are ON the poop, and not IN it, and perhaps they are just fly larvae?

    Tiny white flecks in poop?

What am I looking at here? Very tiny white flecks, non-moving, about the size of the commas in this text. ( , ' ) This is a "night poop" from under the roost in the coop. Fresher poops from the day showed no signs of this. I don't know who made this poop. They bed on straw right now and I...

    Illinois...

Hello Illinoisans! I have a sweet 7 week old Turken "Naked Neck" rooster boy for sale here in Chicago! He's posted in the Buy/sell forums, but I'm cross posting here because I'd hate to try and ship this guy (stresses me out!)...

    Turken/naked neck rooster for sale

I didn't know there were state-specific threads for buy/sell/swap. I'm not finding them with general search. Do you happen to have the link?

UGH Egg exploded in the incubator!

We waited a week, then checked and there was no development or they quit. So we chucked them all out and started again. Out of 18 eggs we got 10 hatched, but 2 didn't make it (hard when they hatch overnight in the classroom). So we have 8 and the kids were very happy. They still talk about the...

UGH Egg exploded in the incubator!

I'm so sorry to hear that! I've had bad hatches, too. It's ok tho. You can try again! Where'd you get the eggs from? If they were shipped you may get some money back - some places have certain hatch rate guarantee. Or next time try a local.source!

    Turken/naked neck rooster for sale

Beautiful 7 week old boy! Friendly, mild mannered. Feather coloring hardly shows up in these photos, but he's got emerald green and sapphire shimmer! Born/hatched May 2. $20 adoption fee. Located Chicago, can transport within a reasonable distance for additional fee. Prefer NOT to ship this...

    Brooder addition! Help me brainstorm.

I just used Preview on my Mac to draw some lines, nothing fancy! But thanks! The door to this coop is rarely closed during the day and we do have a nicely fenced in area surrounding it now. This pic was taken the first day we had it up, so it there have been some improvements since. I think for...

    Brooder addition! Help me brainstorm.

It worked pretty well last time, when I had a different coop. I kept the chicks in the run, where the big girls could interact with them, but they safe from being picked on. They integrated very well, and were not as spazzy and nervous in general as chicks that I brooded indoors. Hope it works...

    Brooder addition! Help me brainstorm.

No they all won't be in this coop, they have other coops to go to later! I just need somewhere to brood them for a few weeks. I hatch a batch each spring for fun, and place the birds with other backyard chicken keepers!

    Brooder addition! Help me brainstorm.

Thank you! It needs some improvements as well, but it's worked out pretty good for my first try at carpentry! haha

    Brooder addition! Help me brainstorm.

Hello! I have decided to brood my chicks with the big girls this season, and want to build a brooder "safe room" addition off my small coop. I've attached a few images of how I'd do it, and could use any suggestions for features, materials to avoid, handy hardware to add... I want to be able to...
