    Bears...

Heavy guage low impedance electric is the only thing we have found to keep bears back. No the generally eat them whole, I would guess that you have some feathered friends hiding out some place. It's almost Easter so instead of an egg hunt have your family and friend go on a hen hunt. For us...

How do YOU process your meat?

Do You have any bird sauage recipits that you would recomend or that is not a trade/family secret that you could share. We have been looking for just such an idea. The stuff we use for elk and deer don't seem to work well on poultry. Owl

    Slag/Grit

Quote: Thats exactly what this is. I don't see any nasty chemicals in this stuff, they use it for wetland damage repair and that stuff. Besides our local activists would stop it cold should there be any remote possiblity of any negative environmental impact. Just wanted to make sure mostly...

    Slag/Grit

How do chickens do with slag from a steel mill. That is what we use for gravel here, driveways, barn floor, whatever you would use gravel we have slag. Will it hurt them if they use the slag for grit? Does the steel have any effect on anything that we should be aware of or keep an eye out for...

Once a killer always one? Is this true??

In the past we have had two things work for us. One, find the dead bird and rubb the bloody mess into it's nose and face, then tie it to the dogs collar. Everywhere the dogs goes that bird will be, it can't get away from it. Two, we got ahold from a neighbor or local farmer an older tom turkey...
