I have Pilgrims...1 male and 4 females at the moment....mine have their fenced area that they call home but whenever I am outside, they are allowed to wander around the yard. When it's time for them to go back home, I just tell them that it's time "to go home" and they will stop what they are...
I don't believe it is a Pilgrim...I have some and even though the girls have "black feet & beaks" they aren't that dark, more like a dark grey where yours is almost black. Here is a picture of Bonnie with a female (dark beak) and male (pinkish beak) from last year. I hope it doesn't come...

Thanks!

Thanks...

Just looking for some ideas, just in case.
My husband would like to know how everyone culls their geese....he is trying to be prepared, even though he won't be the one doing it, my son will :) Hubby is as soft-hearted about them as I am.
Thanks!
Joanne
PS My goose, Bonnie, has made her nest and has been in it most of the morning...
I am so sorry.
I know first hand how hard it is when our four legged family members leave us. Also our 2 legged ones now that I have geese.

Hi,
I am just thinking ahead and have a couple of "dumb" questions (I am sure), but am trying to be prepared! This year, my geese have their new night time pen which has a wood floor so they do not have any water or food. So today I got to thinking about what I was going to do when we have...
