    We love our rooster, he is an Australorp about one year old, we didn't know we had a roo until about 3 weeks ago, when one of our "hens" started crowing and mounting the other hens. then we noticed his spurs and longer tail feathers.

    Mine are only about 6 weeks old, I haven't seen any eggs yet but they are a lot lighter weight than my RIRs. Thanks for the info:cool:

    I have 3 chicks that were sold to me as Anconas, but they look very similar to your mottled orpingtons.
