Located in Van Wert, Ohio. Getting ready to start a flock of about 10 to 12 birds soon. Any advice on where to get birds would be nice. I am looking at some online sources and we also have a Fair coming up at the end of August.

Thanks for the input, we have a fair coming up at the end of August and I wondered if that would be a good place to get birds, or is the mail order vendors a better choice? Assuming I can find the breeds I like. We have a decent 4-H organization here and they normally have a dedicated "chicken"...
