Newbie ducky momma needs help!
So I just got two 3 week old ducklings from my neighbor who I have set up a brooder in the garage for their temporary home. I also have 19 chicks that we just moved out to their outside coop last week. Can I introduce the ducklings to the chicks and hopefully co-coop them? -
What do you have in your flock?
Well right now I have one adult Rhode Island Red as the sole survivor of a weasel attack and 19 5 week old chicks; 9 silver laced wyandettes and 10 rhode island reds. Can multiple roosters co-exist within the same flock?
they are about 16 weeks old,do you think I should sesperate them ? Someone told me if I let them totally free range, I should have a rooster to protect them- stacyrn

This is truly great news! I ordered my chicks online and ended up with 3 roosters, all of which are absolutely beautiful with totally unique personalities. I was prepared to retire 2(with much regret) to my soup pot if need be but so far they are getting along and submitting to a pecking order...- stacyrn
