    So my one year old parakeet cobalt has had a misaligned hip for a while now... yes he has been to the vet, the vet said to use towels on the bottom and it should fix itself... it keeps getting better but then it just gets worse... does anyone know any other things I can do to help?     First, you get your bird used to your presence around the cage... placing your hands on the outside until it's comfortable, once it's used to this, start holding your hand still inside the cage for a couple minutes each day, eventually once it gets comfortable let it eat out of your hand, slowly...

    So my vet prescribed my bird prebiotics... it was starting to work until I noticed some white powder in the corner of her cage! She started taking it out of her food and putting it on the floor! How?! I also tried mixing it in and she still does it!
