I have a 19 week old border collie named poetry and a 4 year old bluetick coonhound named harriet.. I will hopefully be adding another border to my pack this summer to breed my other border with in a couple years
I am wanting to breed and raise birds.. the most likely breed of bird that I'm going to get is the hyacinth macaw, quaker bird or the conure. I am open to any tips about raising big birds and am open to new ways of raising the babies if you have any!! :)
try a martingale collar! they are wonderful. also work on her confidence, a confident dog is a happy dog

work on obedience with the dog and after the dog has a solid focus, leave it and it you can start working on obedience near the chickens(while keeping the dog on a leash) i suggest using positive reinforcement! dog respond better to it and are more likely to remember what they should and shouldnt do
can I just say those tricks aren't silly your silly for thinking that. I train my dog tricks like sit pretty, weave, paw, heel and a lot of other tricks and it gives her a job, something to do, gets her brain working and forms a bond between me and her.
