Thank you. Due to the nature of their deaths (and now that we're losing chickens too), it's not advised to touch the bodies until we get results back, but collecting their feathers was my first thought and it's causing some anxiety that I might not be able to. I do have about 3 from when my...
I posted recently about losing my gaggle traumatically and suddenly starting on Wed and my final gander passed away yesterday or early today. I don't know what caused it yet but the vet tech that came on Friday for testing said she didn't think it was bird flu, I'm currently guessing it's NCD or...
Thank you. I'm heartbroken and I think, partially, their brothers are too. They seem a bit confused and not chatty at all. Although now two of them are sick, one is having similar symptoms as Ella and another has bloody diarrhea but still semi-normal. My oldest gander is himself and eating but I...
I'll have to try getting some then.
I have the ganders separated in their coop, and they thankfully are their goofy selves and Ella (original sick goose) outside in our brooder by the house.
She did attempt to eat the mesh but more like sip at it and she drank a bit of the Corid on her own...
I know they'll likely euthanize everyone. I'm planning on hopefully sending the body in tomorrow (if it's still there as I had no place to put her). I have the ganders separated in their coop and Ella (original sick goose) outside in our brooder by the house. Our chickens have their own separate...
Update: She passed away naturally. I'm going to get Corid today and start the flock on it and hopefully it'll help. My other goose is holding herself up in the coop alone, so I'm expecting to lose her but I hope not
We've had wild ducks on the property recently and Canadian Geese migrating. Our soil is clay based so it tends to stay wet. No outbreaks that I know of but a county near us tends to have bird flu in domestic flocks
She's spasmed in the water and has a seizure of some kind. She's still alive but coughing and I have her in a tub of hay. I don't know what to do but put her out of her misery. I'm worried it'll spread to the rest of them
