Well that's upsetting. I've never seen any big predators like bears or mountain lions but we have the smaller ones, coons, fox, coyote. But mama fox and her kits have made a home for themselves under our shed, again. What kind of wire do you suggest for a floor?
This isn't chicken experience speaking but just animals in general. It sounds to me like she's chirping like a "Hey lady, I was comfy. What gives?" Just my 2 cents, take it with a grain of salt. Hope she's ok.
Like a lot of other members here, I should've come here first. I couldn't wait, had so many questions so I dove right in. I don't even have chickens yet :(:hit! So for now I'm just living vicariously through everyone else here.
How long would it take for 3 chickens to destroy the grass in their run? Would we have to move them daily? They'd be in a tractor coop.
Keep in mind I don't have any chickens yet. They're mom's b-day present in July. Or mine in June :D:fl.
How safe are tractors? What can you do to protect chicks from mink, weasel, etc? I'm very new to this so I want to get as much info before getting chicks.
