    I have not candled the eggs. She is refusing to get up from the nest. Should I make her get off and candle them? I was afraid I would disrupt the process if I candled this late. I started the countdown from the day she started. I assume I should have started the countdown from the second day?

    My broody Rouen duck has been sitting on her nest for 30 days today. I still see no signs of ducklings. She kicked one egg out 2 days ago. She has faithfully sat on her nest and barely leaves. Should I be concerned? Will it be obvious when they hatch?
