My bantam hen for the past few days has been having some sort of diarrhea with some solid feces from time to time in the mustard colored liquid mixture, is this normal?
I just noticed it today, she seems fine but i'm worried it's a ruptured air sac or a tumor or something awful. i really don't want to lose this one so if it's something serious, what would be the approximate cost of a vet?
I'm a little wary of things recommended for other animals and I want to deworm my chicken just in case she has them (I'm not sure if she does, I haven't seen any worms in her waste)
she seems to be gaining weight every day, considering she had to fight for her food where she used to be because she was so weak and is disabled. Her and the other chickens are starting to get along and I've been giving her dust baths in wood ash for the lice and dusting their coop until we can...
here's a picture of both of them in their coop, im sorry about the low quality! i didnt want to turn on flash :( Sia is the one with the smaller crest and Nachos is the one with the bigger one lying down.
sorry guys!! i posted this thread on my phone and the link wouldnt work :(( This is a picture of Nachos (i didnt have a picture of her sister Sia on hand but they have the same color scheme besides the patterns of gold flecks down Sia's neck) they just started getting their browns in all over...
I have no idea what breed of hen she is (I've been told by my grandfather that she's mixed game) as she came from a large farm and there are a bunch of mixed breeds there.
