Does anyone know what they test for in PA? I plan to get my flock tested, but curious to know what they draw for.

    Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Hi everyone. I'm located in Bedminster PA. Wanted to ask if there is a place where I can rent a chicken plucker. I have about 8 birds that need to be processed and plucking by hand is getting a bit much. lol Thanks in advance.

    Newly hatched Royal Palm cross

I think they are third generation crosses. The other poults in this batch had darker colors instead of white.

    Broody Silver Narrogansett

Is there a way to break her broodiness? I've read to move the nest box somewhere else and make it seem like something is different.

If your hen is a great mom, she'll protect those babies for her life

    Broody Silver Narrogansett

My hen is broody. She has no eggs, but has been taking eggs from other birds (not fertile). I have turkey eggs due to hatch any day now. Should I give her 1-2 eggs to hatch or can I give her freshly hatched poults under her?

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Some of my Olive eggers 17 weeks old. No eggs yet and no crowing yet..... I think this one is a Pullet - and yes she was trying to sun bathe in 92F weather. When I checked their wings for sexing, This is what they are from left to right. Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy.

Anyone tried Agway's new soy-free feed 'hearty hen'?

I am using this product as well. Sadly I think it's got GMO's in it. But not sure? And yes, they only come in pellets. My silkies will not eat pellets so I end up buying two different brands of food. I asked the owner of AGWAY in Dublin PA (Dave) and he said they don't make crumbles, but if...

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Alright i checked for color in their wings. Looks like I have 5 boys and 4 girls. Does a few red/brown spots in the wings matter as well?

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Ok. Mine don't have that in their wings. They are all black with the red brown on their necks and heads.
