My chicken won't eat anything, and she won't move or walk!

She has been like this for over a week now. As soon as I noticed her behavior I separated her. She will be 1 on Monday. No changes at all in terms of food, housing or flock. These girls have been together since day 1. She has not layed an egg for 2 weeks now. She is definitely losing...

My chicken won't eat anything, and she won't move or walk!

Lee what ever happened to this hen. My girl is the SAME exact way right now and her poop looks the same. I don't know what to do with her. I spoon feed her 2 times a day.

    Frozen Eggs?

How do you know if the eggs you collect have been frozen at all? I collect eggs once a day and never even thought that some may have been frozen at one point. Can you eat an egg that has been frozen? I usually collect my eggs and leave them on my counter. Should I be refrigerating because...

How do you wash your eggs?

What is the proper technique to wash an egg? I usually don't wash them unless there is poop on it. And I refrigerate all my eggs. What is the right way to do this? Thanks!!

Make your own - No waste - 5 gallon (25# feed) bucket feeder for about $3

I plan on making this feeder but have 1 question. How old do the chickens need to be to use this. My chicks are 6 weeks old. Are they too young?

    Chicks and Grit

Hi All, I have 8- 3 week old Barred Rocks and RI Reds. Over the weekend I gave them some worms we found outside and some mashed up hard boiled eggs. Was I supposed to give them grit with this? Are they going to get sick if I didn't? Thanks!!

    Are they Huddled???

I have a dumb question.....If they say you should start at 90 degrees then decrease by 5 every week, should the whole brooder's temp be reading at 85 or should it just be the spot under the heat lamp reading that temp. Sorry - I am very new to this! :)

    Are they Huddled???

So my heat lamp is right in the middle heating the whole brooder. Should I move it so it's just heating on side of it? Also, I've noticed that their peeping is louder lately. Is this normal as they get older?

    Are they Huddled???

On Sunday I moved the heat lamp up a little- It was time to decrease by 5 degrees. The chicks are eating and drinking normally but when they sleep they look like this..... Would you considered this huddling? Do you think they are cold? Thanks
