I just noticed this yesterday on my hen... comb, wattle and right eye...any clue what it could be? I have 8 hens, this is the only one that looks like this.
Thank you all for your help! I am learning and reading more and more. Consistently getting 1 white egg a day at this point. Have 8 hens, 4 will lay brown. No clue who is laying! :D
I am currently getting 1 egg a day. But I have no clue who is laying it! I have 4 that will lay brown, so I know it's not them, but the other 4, could be any of them!!! :D
I would like to know breed, but that's really not a huge deal in my book, but I am really hoping I have all hens (that was what I asked for... and really want) First chicken, feet are fully feathered.... super fluffy
The other one - In the sun, the feathers have a blue iridescence...
I didn't think it was normal - I have been handling these chicks since they were babies, and yet 3 of them FLIP OUT when I try to touch them. She is one. Well, I will get someone to help me, I want her to be healthy. But it DOES look like a hen, right???
This was in theory a Buff Orpington hen. I know it's a Polish, and I am hoping for a hen. I got 8 chicks in March, and none are what they seemed. No biggie, as I really didn't care too much on breed, just wanted hens. The feathers are all blonde... she got muddy when I was refilling water tank...
In theory that's what I have - but asked for 2 and one of them is a Polish, so all bets are off in the confidence department. LOL
Got 8 "hens" of different breeds... and I am thinking they're a mixed up mess. They were chicks in mid-March... and is that crazy underbite normal? She has no issues...
AWESOME! I was just really hoping for hens. I am so in my learning curve here. I am consistently getting 1 white egg a day, no clue which chicken is laying... none seem broody.
THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
