    Thank you, I love my Silkies. I would guess they would be called chocolate? I have some buff silkie eggs in transit, going to try incubating some more. I'm a wee bit excited, to put it mildly.

    It's early and I'm far from experienced but I'm thinking hen Edit: I guess I was wrong as the others all seem to say cockerel. I just know it looks just like mine all did when they where young and I didn't end up with a single rooster
