    I think what I read said they black sex links was created from Plymouth rocks and Rhode Island reds so probably some similarities. Either that or I'm starting to think tractor supply is horrible at naming breeds lmao!

    Ok thats interesting. Still orpington though just either blue, chocolate or mauve. I really doubt they are chocolate the pics don't do the gray color they are justice but I could see mauve being possible.

    I'll get one soon as I can but they are definitely more blue than chocolate. There is no brown color to them at all. Bluish gray completely

    Recently posted about my other chicks and yall helped a lot so wanted to check what my other breed i got from tractor supply is or if they are what they say they are. I was told that they are speckled sussex and 1 really looks like it's coming into the colors of a SS. The other I'm not sure...

    Thank you everyone for the help I knew it was a blue something so I'm going with blue orpington now. I'll post the pics of the other 2 when I get home to see if they are what they said they are lol

    That's funny because I bought 2 speckled syssex, they didn't doubt them being that breed. I have another post showing pics of them but they are very different looking from each other. 1 is growing to really look like a SS but the other idk lmao. I'll have to post pic tomorrow.

    They are gray all the way, except for a little tiny white tip on the wings and the bottom of face/ neck is white. I do have them outside that one is just our favorite and most likely going to be the house chicken because she is the freindliest of them all.

    I am now 7 weeks old and still notnsure what breed I am! Bought 4 from tractor supply and was told they were barnvelders at first but they then said they aren't sure what they are because they don't look like they are supposed. Definitely can tell they aren't barnevelders but not sure what they are.
