    When do I need to feed my Golden Comets layer feed

    I have six golden comet pullets who are about ten weeks old. I know that they begin to lay eggs at around sixteen weeks, so I know that they need to start eating layer feed (witch calcium) earlier than other birds, but what age is it not too early? Thanks a heap!

    Buff orpington comb and face chanign color rapidly

    So I have a buff whose face and comb were turing a darker red than normal (almost magenta) but then were fin again. That would be fine, but then layer turned dark again, then back to normal. Is this something to be worried about? Should I begin planning her funeral service??

    Making sure stray chicken won't infect my flock
