    So this is my rooster I thought(hoped) was a chicken...he is huge and very pretty, for a guy! I am still not sure what he is but it's possible he is a Java, from all the pics I have seen...I think he will be my breeder when I am ready for new chicks.

    Just an fyi to jeremy --who already knew--my Java_-i guess is a boy after all--wow I wish I knew it before I got so attached to him..oh well i still have 3 girls for eggs.

    wow, so apparently Ancona's are rare too...so, I am thinking of breeding her with my rooster who, from what I can tell is a buff rock.... maybe when she's a couple of years old..right now she is only 2 and a 1/2 months old, and two of my other chickens(on my avatar) and my rooster are about 7...

    I hope someone can help me figure out what kind of chicken my lil hen is---she is about 2 and 1/2 months old and was yellow and black as a chick, but now she has both whole black feathers and whole white feathers....any suggestions? thanks, stormy
