Just my two cents. night before last -12f in the coop. girls just fine. two weeks ago two of the girls didn't want to join the rest of the flock after I cleaned the coop and spent a coupe of nights in a pine tree. I had to throw rocks at them before they finally came down. -Loren

How far do you use it at?

Has anyone used a remote wireless thermometer over a long distance? My coop is about 75 yds from the house. I'm looking to find a way to monitor the temp inside the coop at the house. all the remote indoor/outdoor i've tried don't have the range needed. any success out there?

Our Maltese is great around our chickens. They re even teaching him a thing or two about finding treats thrown in the yard. Ever see a chicken and a dog fight over a bone? One on one the dog usally wins. But as with humans, two women outflank a guy every time.

I'm glad to hear that Hens do this to as I've noticed this with my chicks and I don't want any Roo's.
