    Hen laying double yolk eggs on a regular basis... should I worry?

    I have 5 roof top free range silky fowls in the city. The youngest one started laying 3 weeks ago and every single egg has been a double yolker. That would be 4-5 eggs a week.     Sparrows eating ALL my chicken feed.

    This is tough....Ideally we want our egg laying chickens to "free range" and be happy...Recently I decided to throw sparrow seed around the chicken coup..thinking this may keep them from actually going inside the coop and taking my silkies food. I'll let you know how that works out...
