Choice of wire flooring for Coturnix Quail?

Thanks. I didn't know this product was available. I will consider it if Walmart comes up empty for the coated wire hardware cloth. I like to buy locally instead of online, because inherent risk of getting hacked when cards are used online!

Choice of wire flooring for Coturnix Quail?

Where can I find the vinyl coated hardware cloth? It isn't at Lowes, Tractor supply or Home Depot that I have found. What is the cost?

Choice of wire flooring for Coturnix Quail?

Thank you for your advice. I was wondering if I needed vinyl coated hardware cloth or could just use the galvanized 1/2"hardware cloth (more cost effective). But it looks like most people do fine housing quail on galvanized without injuring their feet.

I love the care you have for your quail. They feel safe with places to hide and not overcrowded. They seem content.

Hardware cloth flooring? Is it safe?

Wire bottom is ok if that is not the only thing they are standing on. Free range during the day or if just a few chickens, you can put some kind of bedding down so it's not just bare wire they are standing on.

Look at what I found !

I think the chickens will strip the wallpaper.

Hi Forum Community. I am a new member. I joined because I am doing research to start raising Quail and this forum was recommended by Zach from Myshire Farm. I live in Northern Arkansas and my HOA doesn't allow chickens (heartbreaking). So, quail it is!
