    8 got a nice americaunas from a friend of a friend.i thought it was roughly 15 weeks old, but now 5 weeks later she is molting (losing all the feathers).     how long does it take for a chicken to lay an egg after transportation

    mine has not laid an egg yet,though sometimew it goes in the nest for awhile but no eggs. Good luck with your hen.

    thanks for the info,but i noticed it was all dated back to january so i didnt know if it was still current or not. Either way i am excited to go tommorow and hope to fing d one or two laying hens
